The sight of a sea of snowdrops bobbing gently in the woods is a sure sign than spring is on its way. Did you know that Cirencester’s Amphitheatre has its own spectacular carpet of snowdrops, tucked away in a secret spot? Keep reading to discover where to find snowdrops in Cirencester…

Now, we’re not suggesting that you travel hundreds of miles to this spot, but if you happen to be visiting the Amphitheatre already then follow these steps to find it:

  • Starting at the Cotswold Avenue gate, follow the main path down the hill then turn right into the Amphitheatre.
  • Walk across the Amphitheatre and out the other side – you’ll see an information board.
  • Turn right and head down a slope.
  • After a few steps, turn left into a small area of woodland which is carpeted in snowdrops in Spring.
